Yelena Popova wurde von DEEP TIME – Commissions for the Lake District Coast eingeladen, ein neues dauerhaftes Kunstwerk für Copeland in Form eines riesigen neuen Theatervorhangs für die Solway Hall zu entwickeln. Das Projekt, das die Geschichte der Energieerzeugung und der verlorenen Textilindustrie in der Region feiert, wird im Rahmen des Eröffnungswochenendes im Frühjahr 2023 vorgestellt.
Yelena Popova has been invited by DEEP TIME – Commissions for the Lake District Coast to develop a new permanent artwork for Copeland in the form of a vast new theater curtain for Solway Hall. The project, which celebrates the region’s history of energy production and lost textile industry, will be unveiled as part of opening weekend in spring 2023.
