Arcangelo Sassolino ist derzeit im Rahmen der Einzelausstellung In The End, The Beginning im Museum of Old and New Art in Hobart, Tasmanien zu sehen.
Sassolino nutzt physikalische Phänomene wie Wärme, Kraft, Spannung, Geschwindigkeit oder Schwerkraft, um das verborgene Innenleben industrieller Materialien nahbar zu machen. Seine Skulpturen erscheinen dabei nicht statisch, sondern dynamisch, lebendig und durchdrungen von der Energie, die sie hervorgebracht hat, um so als metaphorische Spiegel gesellschaftlicher Kontexte zu agieren.
In The End, The Beginning präsentiert eine Reihe von raumgreifenden Arbeiten, die als physikalische Experimente erfahrbar werden und Besucher*innen mit Fragen nach Zeit, Vergänglichkeit und der Beziehung zwischen Mensch und Materie konfrontieren.
Arcangelo Sassolino is currently on display in the solo exhibition In The End, The Beginning at the Museum of Old and New Art in Hobart, Tasmania.
Sassolino uses physical phenomena such as heat, force, tension, speed, and gravity to enable access to the hidden inner workings of industrial materials. His sculptures do not appear static, but dynamic, alive, and charged with the energy that created them, thus acting as metaphorical mirrors of social contexts.
In The End, The Beginning presents a series of expansive works that become tangible as physical experiments, confronting visitors with questions about time, impermanence and the relationship between humans and matter.
