Bas de Wit ist aktuell in der Gruppenausstellung Creatures im Kunstmuseum Heidenheim zu sehen.
Creatures versammelt bildhauerische Arbeiten von zehn Künstler*inen, welche die Mehrdeutigkeit des Begriffs „Kreatur“, zum einen als Schöpfung und zum anderen als Andersartigkeit, reflektieren. Dabei ist ein Wiederkehrendes Motiv der Ausstellung der menschliche Körper, der, wie bei den Arbeiten von Bas de Wit, verzerrt, überformt und fragmentiert wird.
De Wit zeigt eine Reihe von Skulpturen aus der Serie In funny memory of… (2021–2022), die wir 2022 in der gleichnamigen Einzelausstellung mit dem Künstler präsentiert haben.
Bas de Wit can currently be seen in the group exhibition Creatures at the Kunstmuseum Heidenheim.
Creatures brings together sculptural works by ten artists who reflect on the ambiguity of the term “creature”, on the one hand as creation and on the other as otherness. A recurring motif in the exhibition is the human body, which, as in the works of Bas de Wit, is distorted, reshaped and fragmented.
De Wit is showing a series of sculptures from the series In funny memory of… (2021-2022), which we presented in the solo exhibition of the same name with the artist in 2022.
