Koen van den Broek ist aktuell in der Gruppenausstellung From Dawn Till Dusk – Der Schatten in der Kunst der Gegenwart im Kunstmuseum Bonn zu sehen.
From Dawn Till Dusk versammelt Arbeiten von 40 internationalen Künstler*innen und widmet sich erstmals in Deutschland der Rolle und Emanzipation des Schattens als ein bildgebendes und medienreflexives Thema in der Kunst. ‚Schatten‘ erscheinen hier nicht nur als formale Elemente, sondern als mehrdeutige und metaphorisch aufgeladene Träger politischer und gesellschaftlicher Thematiken.
In der Ausstellung werden zwei Arbeiten von van den Broek gezeigt, in denen Schatten als Spiel zwischen Figuration und Abstraktion auftreten.
Koen van den Broek is currently featured in the group exhibition From Dawn Till Dusk – The Shadow in Contemporary Art at the Kunstmuseum Bonn.
From Dawn Till Dusk brings together works by 40 international artists and is the first exhibition in Germany to focus on the role and emancipation of the shadow as an image-forming and media-reflective theme in art. Here, ’shadows‘ appear not only as formal elements, but as ambiguous and metaphorically charged carriers of political and social themes.
The exhibition features two works by van den Broek in which shadows appear as a play between figuration and abstraction.
