‚Luft als künstlerisches Material‘ wird in vielfältiger Form in der Ausstellung Welt in der Schwebe (24.02.2022 – 19.06.2022) im Kunstmuseum Bonn vermittelt. In dieser ist unter anderem das Werk Il vuoto senza misura (2021) von Arcangelo Sassolino zu sehen, das die unsichtbare Luft erfahrbar macht und die Gefahr und Kraft, die von ihr ausgeht, verdeutlicht. Der riesige eingezäunte Ventilator wurde 2021 in unserer Galerie in der Ausstellung Lanciare l’aria präsentiert. Wie auch in unserer Ausstellung mit Sassolino wird im Kunstmuseum Bonn das Thema Luft unter anderem vor dem Hintergrund der aktuellen Corona-Krise aufgegriffen. Sassolinos Installation macht uns nicht nur die Luft an sich bewusst, sondern auch, wie lebenswichtig sie ist, wie abhängig wir von ihr sind.

‘Air as an artistic material’ is conveyed in a variety of ways in the exhibition Up in the Air (Feb. 24-June 19, 2022) at the Kunstmuseum Bonn. Among other works, Arcangelo Sassolino’s Il vuoto senza misura (2021) can be seen in this exhibition, which makes the invisible air tangible and illustrates the danger and power it poses. The giant fenced fan was presented in our gallery in 2021 in the exhibition Lanciare l’aria. As in our exhibition with Sassolino, the Kunstmuseum Bonn takes up the theme of air in the context of the current Corona crisis, among other things. Sassolino’s installation makes us aware not only of air itself, but also of how vital it is, how dependent we are on it.
